Brand building through storytelling

Rona Maynard to speak about depression at Women & Wellness Niagara

Posted December 15, 2014

It’s been many years now since I felt so unworthy of life that my fantasies involved a bathtub and a razor blade. But I’ll never forget my long struggle with depression. It’s been called a women’s disease because women report it twice as often as men do. That’s why I’m honored to be sharing my story at Women and Wellness Niagara’s Fifth Annual Fundraising Event on February 19 in Niagara Falls, 6:15 to 8:30. It’s free, it’s fun (with wine, coffee, appetizers and desserts) and it’s your chance to donate to a great cause: a free walk-in clinic to anyone in the community who needs help with a mental health problem. Imagine what this clinic means to suffering people: no months-long wait for a psychiatrist, no hefty charge to see a psychologist. Bring your friends! I’d love to see you there. Reserve your free ticket here.
